Thursday, Oct. 5

3:41 a.m. Hart College residents were asked to keep the noise level down.

7:33 p.m. A Franklin College resident reported she has been receiving harassing phone calls. It is under investigation.

Friday, Oct. 6

11:56 a.m. There was a non-injury accident in the Curris Center parking lot.

12:45 p.m. A College Courts resident reported harassing communications.

1:25 p.m. An officer retrieved an abandoned white mountain bicycle from Zax Printing.

1:46 p.m. An occupied White College elevator was stuck.

2:18 p.m. A non-injury accident occurred at the National Scouting Museum.

10:08 p.m. Central Plant notified Public Safety that it had lost all monitoring capabilities. All officers were advised and the Hester College residence director was notified to contact the other residential colleges.

6:13 p.m. A hit and run accident was reported at the White College parking lot.

9 p.m. A resident in Hester College room 417 reported a hot water shower handle was broken and residents could not turn off the hot water. Central Plant was notified.

Saturday, Oct. 7

8:51 p.m. A non-injury accident occurred at Stewart Stadium.

9:56 p.m. A fire alarm sounded at Ordway Hall. Everything was OK.

11:14 p.m. A report of possible shots fired at 16th and Olive streets may have been firecrackers from the Sigma Chi house.

Sunday, Oct. 8

3:17 a.m. An officer noticed someone urinating into the bushes at Regents College.

3:26 a.m. A noise complaint was reported in the College Courts 200 block.

3:44 a.m. Murray Police Department advised Public Safety that people were yelling and throwing things out of the north side of Elizabeth College.

12:36 p.m. A student reported the library was opened with no lights on, and students were present in the library without a student worker since noon.

11:07 p.m. A caller reported sounds of someone running on the second floor of Wilson Hall. No one was found on the second floor.

11:08 p.m. There was a request for ambulance assistance in a Hester College hallway. EMS transported the person for head pain.

Monday, Oct. 9

10:04 a.m. An officer was taking a theft report at Woods Hall. A flag was reported stolen.

2:23 p.m. A student wanted to file a complaint of obscene phone messages being left on her machine at White College.

11:22 p.m. An officer smelled marijuana in the White College third floor hallway.

Tuesday, Oct. 10

12:53 a.m. There was a false fire alarm at Elizabeth College. Central Plant reset the smoke detector on the third floor southeast side.

3:15 a.m. An assault was reported at College Courts. Three people came to Public Safety at 5:10 a.m. to file a report.

10:40 p.m. Students reported vehicles parked in spaces by their residential colleges. Tickets were issued.

Wednesday, Oct. 11

9:15 a.m. A false fire alarm sounded at Franklin College.

7:43 p.m. Someone was throwing water balloons from the Springer College third floor.

Thursday, Oct. 12

12 p.m. Theft of clothes was reported at Regents College.

11:10 p.m. A vehicle missing from the Hart College parking lot. It had been towed after hitting a building at Calloway Gardens earlier that evening. The caller was advised to retrieve his vehicle from the city police.

Friday, Oct. 13

12:12 a.m. Two citations were issued for an alcohol violation at 14th and Payne streets.

1:34 a.m. There was a report of a drunken driver leaving the Curris Center parking lot and going toward Five Points. University Police searched the area, but were unable to locate the person.

2:35 a.m. Bernard M. Weindl, student, was arrested for driving under the influence at Chestnut and Eighth streets and lodged in Calloway County Jail.

1:25 p.m. A smoke alarm at Woods Hall went off for undetermined reasons.

3:05 p.m. Housing requested University Police destroy seized alcoholic beverages. Police destroyed 88 cans, 19 bottles and 13 40 oz. bottles of beer.

Saturday, Oct. 14

1:50 p.m. Skateboarders at the Doyle Fine Arts Center rock garden were given a verbal warning and their parents were notified.

Sunday, Oct. 15

11:24 p.m. A citation was issued for disregarding a stop sign.

Monday, Oct. 16

3:17 p.m. A student found his bicycle at Stewart Stadium.

5 p.m. An officer cited someone for having no proof of insurance and no registration at 14th and Payne streets.

Tuesday, Oct. 17

11:58 a.m. A purse was reported stolen from Wells Hall room 323.

1:56 p.m. Theft of clothes in a laundry room was reported from Franklin College.

2:46 p.m. A WKMS employee reported a lost mixer board.

5:20 p.m. A caller reported harassing phone calls at Springer College.

6:42 p.m. A vehicle was vandalized at the stadium parking lot.

9:15 p.m. The Franklin College residence director reported a fire pull station had been pulled, but that there was no fire alarm.

Wednesday, Oct. 18

5:57 a.m. Several people were running down the football field with no clothing. The people were gone upon University Police’s arrival.

4:49 p.m. An occupied elevator was stuck in the Applied Science Building.

9:31 p.m. Skateboarders in the Doyle Fine Arts Center rock garden were advised there is no skateboarding or in-line skating in the mall area.
