The first 'weekend-trip' led us south near the Gulf of Mexico. Pretty high temperatures and extreme humidity made us feel like in a sauna the whole day. But the city is fantastic. Next to the Mississippi in the French Quarter all kind of music and party can be found seven days a week and 365 days a year. New Orleans is it really worth driving more than 9 hours from Kentucky!
