Here it is! The ultimate overview of our vacation. 31 extreme days with lots of great impressions, outrages experiences, and lots of miles to drive. All in all, we drove more than 8200 miles (13000km). This means an average of more than 400km per day! We were at least 6 people in two cars, but had also times being 11 people in three cars.
Our way led us from Murray, Nashville to Dallas. From there to Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso where we crossed the Mexican border for a night. Then, we went on to Phoenix and Las Vegas. From there on, we went to the Grand Canyon passing the Hoover Dam. Afterwards, we reached to main goal of our vacation as we drove Highway number 1 along the Westcoast, passing L.A., to San Francisco. Back to L.A. we saw Yosemite National Park in the inner part of California. Leaving California, we went pretty directly to Denver, Colorado, where we visited Boulder, the alternate exchange university of Regensburg. Two more days driving brought us back to Kentucky. To navigate through this vacation, you can use the blue arrows in the upper and lower right corner of the page, or use the menu for direct selections. Have fun and enjoy our trip.
First, we started going to Nashville to bring all "Heimflieger" (Homegoers) to the airport. We already realized how much luggage we have to handle every day...
