The Southwest-Tour of the United
States... San Diego With 1.2 million inhabitants in the city and 2.8 million in the county - this is the lively capitol of the southwest. It's the 6th largest city of the U.S., but still quite far behind L.A. Balboa Park is the green center of the city. It's next to one of the biggest zoos of the nation.
The Gaslamp Quarter is a rare sight in between the U.S. cities. It's a crowded center with relatively old buildings. There are many many cafes and real good nightlife.
The Seaport Village is also in walking distance to the city, offers a great view of downtown and some nice dining and shopping opportunities...
...but for shopping - Horton Plaza is the place to be!
