York ...to... Boston 2009
Early September
2009 we flew to New York and went from there with a rental car along the
northeastern coast towards Boston.

New York City
Starting late night we got an
overview of the city from the panorama deck of the Empire State
Building. The next day we worked the city through beginning with
a ferry ride to staten island, then northwards along Broadway
(passing Wall Street & Ground Zero) through Manhattan, stopping
in Chinatown and Little Italy with a later visit to the
MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Central Park.

along the coast
Stopping at Newport for a short visit and
overnighting in Provincetown on Cape Cod, we worked our way from
downtown Manhattan to Boston. Where Newport showed off with
luxury and richness of its people, Provincetown surprised us as
being a complete gay community thus showing rainbow colors all
over the city. It was a pleasureful experience as nightlife and
dining was good as the nature around on Cape Cod interesting.

Boston
Our time in Boston we used
for extensive shopping, a visit to Rockport just north of the
city, and for an extensive walking tour through Boston itself.
This tour was easy to do - you just have to follow a red line
marked on the floor and you're guided to the city's main sights.
